These are the things I am actually working on at moment

• Major site Redesign, to be more dynamic and to use space on pages a little bit better
• Am working on a Comment area in index page maybe. I want it to work like the WALL in facebook
• ADDURL/user registration

Other then that, these are some of the things I am working on at moment:

• Enhance Profile - Am going to continue bringing more featur es to the profile.
  • Displays Basic information - things like a description, addresses, contact info, store hours, site URl, Categories. --- DONE

  • Dynamic Pages . (Some are predefined to help you setup faster) --- DONE
    • At moment it can handle:
      • News, About us, Term, Annocement, and anything else that involves chunks of TEXT displayed.
  • Links Page - A place you can use to exchange links with others to help you raise your profile Presense in web - --- Pending, in Works
  • Image Galleries - A place where you can show off some of your Crafts
    • You will be able to upload pictures, the system will automatically resize them for you, keeping highest quality
  • Produc/Image Page - Each picture in your gallery can have it's own produc profile. Here you can describe, and talk about your the craft item pictured

Just Finished my "Webmaster's Blog Module".

You can see it being used in the INDEX page... the white area.

Also in the FAQs page, and the Site Development News page, which you are looking at moment.

Next on the Webmaster's Blog Module, I wanna introduce Comment Posting , which will only be enabled in the Site Development News page.

At moment Tanela.com only captures Addresses for listings that have a Store front.

Need to be able to capture address for all listings. Since many websites provide an address for SNAIL mail, return items and so on.

Also Clean up tiny Bugs.

I want to be able to put a "Count" next to each category.

This count will reflect the number of listings under that category.

The Category count should change as different locations are clicked. It should then be a count of THAT category at THAT location.

An advantage to having this category count on hand is that if a Location is found to not have any listings, We can Make the category not clickable.

This in turn will prevent Empty Category/Locations from being indexed by search Engine.

Not to mention it will save a visitor from seeing an empty Listing page.

Most of other directories this number seems to be inaccurate and also many of the available  clickable categories are empty.

Just did Another push to LIVE. The profiles now can have multiple pages.

It can have the usual profile and contact Form page. In addition now you can have more Dynamic pages. Things like an About page, News Page, Annoncemt pages or FAQ pages, of a CAT doggie page. These pages use a RichText format, so you can bold and underline things. Will continue to work on it to bring Gallery pages, link pages.

One of the things I have been wanting to do is to go BEYOND being just a directory .

I want to Enhance the Profiles to be like a Full Featured website in it's self.

Each Profile would have it's own Menu , Home Page, About page, Contact page, Gallery page, Links Page, News , FAQ page and so on.

The Profile owner would be able to select what pages to have or not to have.

CSS would be used to allow individual Customazation

Eventually I also want to allow each Profile to be able to have it's own Online Store , with inventory tracking and all. This would be great for Individuals wanting to sell Handcrafts items online .

I am open to Ideas. If you have some, send them my way using the directory's Contact Form . Am also looking for volunters to be the first to try it out.

HELLO WORLD

This page allows you to add link to your profile. So now you can track or exchange links with others to promote your Profile.

This will be very handy for those with no Web Presence , meaning those of you with no website.

At moment there is no limit on the number of links a profile can have.

You will be able to add regular TEXT links or image links as in banners. or do both.

The Links Page is Optional , so if you don't want it on profile, just don't use it. By default it won't show up, you need to logon and add it to profile. Less then 5 clicks to set it up.

Did alot of work on Functions that support the site.

One function I just completed was: Listing Shuffle, This script shuffle all listings, so once a week or once a month the listing gets shuffled, thus every listing gets a change to be near the top of page.

When submitting a site, I now will capture a Users Email address and a password, So once approved you now can login and modify your listing or enhance your Free profile.

Since no one is making any suggestion, and I need to fight boredom, I am just gonna work on whatever catches my attention.

SO, since one of you asked me about posting Crafts events/fairs and the site at moment can not handle this, I have decided to work on it a bit... Very Basics features, unless you guys provide me with more input.

People will be able to submit/suggest EVENTS fairs, festivals.

These then will be available to be searched against, by date and location.

ANOTHER THING I been reading about, and seems like a good feature is a PROFILE/WEBSITE CALENDAR .

I am going to try to figure out how to integrate GOOGLE CALENDARS to you profile page.

Google Calenders are Free , you just need to get a Free Gmail account .  Everyone should have a google account, they have a ton of features, in addition to calender and gmail.

Anyways, this calendar page will be located in you profile/website, so that any visitors to you profile will see your calendar events... Things like sales dates, Fairs dates and so on...

Turns out it was very easy.

For those of you with an Etsy shop , you can now display your EtsyMini in your profile website . Make sure you add your Etsy Mini CODE, in Additional Area on ADDURL pages. For those of you already listed, just email...make sure you include your Etsy Mini CODE.

So... Am gonna clean up some code.

Am gonna enhance profile to list Snail Mail address for those listings that do not have a store-front shop. (DONE, Snail mail address and phone access hours are now displayed)

At moment the Address is only displayed for store front-shops, Seems many sites have a mailing address for SNAIL Mail.

Will also be able to capture phone hours for sites that have phone support.

So as you can see.... just minor improvements. Kinda hard to start on something new when I see no excitement. Make sure to submit your ideas/suggestion by using the contact Form

Am also Revisiting The CATEGORIES . I wanna divide it a bit better to list. All clarify "Supply ", "Wholesale " categories and introduce new categories for "Handcrafted " category. (DONE, Supplies, Wholesale and retail categories are  now available. Also a CLASS category is available. Under HANDCRAFTS categories various new subcategories have also been defined)

OK.. It is coming Along nicely... but nothing to show you guys yet....I Am still working on base code for the website.
